About the Institution
Arasu Engineering College, Kumbakonam is established by Sri Thirunavukkarasu Dhanalakshmi Educational and Charitable Trust. It was registered as a public charitable trust in the year 2000 to serve the society. The trust is doing yeomen service in the field of Technical Education and Research.
It is the first Engineering College started in the Kumbakonam. It was started with the aim to accelerate academic, social and economic development. It is one of the leading Engineering colleges affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The Campus is spread over an area of 50 acres with gorgeous background of Temples. The Fresh air, sweet medicated water from Cauvery River. The Serene area provides pleasant atmosphere for the students to concentrate well on their studies.
To start with, Arasu Engineering College offered three Under Graduate programmes as approved by All India Council for Technical Education in the year 2001-2002. The college at present offers Eight Under Graduate Programmes and Four Post Graduate Programmes with the approval of AICTE.
About the Department of Mechanical
The department of Mechanical Engineering is accredited by NBA. It has a team of highly qualified, dedicated and motivated faculty members. It has been evolved into an exciting high technology discipline covering a wide spectrum of engineering activities. For young people, it provides employment opportunities of various natures and they can choose a career to suit their aptitude.
About the Department of Computer Science
The department of Computer Science and Engineering strives to provide high quality education in Computer domains and follows Outcome Based Education (OBE). The department offers both UG and PG programmes with an intake of 120 and 18 respectively. The Computer Science and Engineering programme is accredited by NBA.
The department has a strong foundation to train the students on cutting edge technologies such as Cloud Computing, Python, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Network Security and Information Retrieval. The department is committed to inculcate strong ethical values and spirit of social commitment among the students.
The department has well equipped laboratory facilities for Internet programming, Cloud Computing, Programming Languages, Software development, Data Analytics and Open Source Software laboratories to provide practical training to the students. Apart from the regular curriculum, the students are exposed to work in Network Technology and Network Security Laboratories through CISCO Certified Network Academy (CCNA).
ICT based Innovative teaching methods are followed in the department through smart classrooms. The department regularly organizes symposia, conferences, seminars, workshops on recent trends and technologies. The department signed MOU’s with reputed companies to support students for Internship, placement and consultancy.
The department has highly qualified, motivated and dedicated teaching faculty with different domain knowledge. They actively involve in Research and Development activities in the emerging areas of Computer Engineering.
To promote the faculty development, the department is collaborated with Information and Communication Technology Academy, Tamilnadu (ICTACT) for conducting faculty upgradation programmes on latest computing technologies. Entrepreneur Development Programme programmes such as Software Developer, Network and Storage Engineer are conducted regularly in the department under PMKVY scheme.
The department is recognized as a nodal resource centre for National Cyber Safety and Security Systems and Smart India Hackathon, Government of India. Students and faculty members of the department have received Best Institution Award, Best Guide Awards, Best Innovative Concept Award from ‘Make In India’ and ‘Innovations in Engineering and Technology’.
The department provides better environment to learn value-added courses such as CCNA, Java, (.)Net and IT essentials and online certification courses through NPTEL and Coursera.

Scope of the Conference
The objective of this international conference is to bring together active researchers and experts from various disciplines to showcase their state-of-the-art research outcomes and to integrate new interdisciplinary connections among them. This conference will provide a unique opportunity for in-depth technical discussions and for exchanging the innovative ideas on a wide range of topics to explore the potential of their applications in industry and society. Moreover, it is intended to expose young researchers to emerging trends such as IoT, machine learning and deep learning which are suited in manufacturing sectors for effective manufacturing, quality control, shortened design time, reduced material waste, improved production reuse, performing predictive maintenance and more. In general this conference will turn out the researchers to focus their attention in the use of IoT and machine learning concepts in mechanical engineering.
